Georgia ball -- Backed up against his own end zone and facing third-and-long, a rattled Beck is swarmed by the Bama defense and is called for intentional grounding after heaving a desperation pass nowhere near a receiver. Since Beck would have gone down in the end zone had he not done so, officials correctly rule that it is a safety, padding the Tide's lead even further with 1:39 left in the second quarter. Alabama 30, Georgia 7.
Alabama ball -- Milroe makes his first mistake of the night, throwing a ball slightly behind his receiver near the goal line. It bounces off the receiver and into the hands of a UGA defender for an interception, giving the ball right back to the Dawgs.
Georgia ball -- The Dawgs are left deflated again when on the first play after their first huge defensive stop of the game, Beck throws the ball right into the hands of LB Jihaad Campbell for a crippling interception with 2:50 left in the opening half.
Alabama ball -- The Tide is stopped on fourth-and-1, giving UGA the ball back in decent field position with a chance to possibly cut into its three-TD deficiit before halftime.
